Mods for NASCAR Racing 2003 are fairly simple to install once you install them the first time. For example purposes I will be using the mods listed below so I can guide you through installing car, track, spotter, and sound mods.
Car Mod
One thing to note is the maximum amount of car mods you can have in NR2003 is 16 including the original cup series.
After downloading, unzip the .zip file into its own folder. Make sure that there is not another folder inside the folder you unzipped, otherwise the car mod will not work. Inside the folder should look similar to the screenshot below.
Go to the location you installed NR2003 and open the series folder.
Copy and paste the folder you unzipped into this folder.
If you have cars for the mod that you downloaded, open the car mod folder and open the cars folder.
Copy and paste the car files into this folder.
After you have installed the cars mod, open NR2003 and at the bottom of the menu, there should be arrows left and right. This allows you to switch to the different car mods you want to use.
Track Mod
One thing to note is the maximum amount of tracks you can have in NR2003 is 128 including the original tracks.
After downloading, unzip the .zip file into its own folder. Make sure that there is not another folder inside the folder you unzipped, otherwise the track mod will not work. Inside the folder should look similar to the screenshot below.
Go to the location you installed NR2003 and open the tracks folder.
Copy and paste the folder you unzipped into this folder.
After you have installed the track mod, open NR2003 and click on single race. Click on the track drop down on the top of the menu and the track will show on the list.
Spotter Mod
There are two ways to install spotter mods. One is to rename to backup the original and replace the spcc.dat file with the new file or the other is to copy and paste the audio files to the spcc folder. I will be showing the second option.
After downloading, unzip the .zip file into its own folder.
Go to the location you installed NR2003 and open the sound folder and then open the spcc folder.
Copy and paste all of the audio files into the spcc folder.
Open NR2003 and go into a race session and drive. You should now be hearing the spotter mod.
Sound Mod
There are two ways to install sound mods. One is to rename to backup the original and replace the sound.dat file with the new file or the other is to copy and paste the audio files to the sound folder. I will be showing the second option.
After downloading, unzip the .zip file into its own folder.
Go to the location you installed NR2003 and open the sound folder.
Copy and paste all of the audio files into the sound folder.
Open NR2003 and go into a race session and drive. You should now be hearing the new sounds.
